چکیده
Sorghum is widely grown as a failsafe crop in semi-arid regions particularly post rainy season. Though the effect of drought on performance studied there are few studies illustrating association fodder quality and agronomic traits under drought. To study interactions we evaluated set 24 cultivars for three years The was evident delayed flowering (by 2 days) reduce plant height 0.98 cm) compared to control. digestibility were reduced (in vitro organic matter by 2.25 times) All growth yield parameters recorded higher heritability (<0.75) most season both control stress environments. scatter plot showed best (ICSV700-P10, N13, PB15881-3, SP 2417-P3) poor (296B, ICSB377-P1, ICSV1, IS9830) performing entries plots. have shown no significant relationship between them, hence independent can be utilized breed desirable traits. Identification contrasting lines could key identify genes controlling

Evaluation of grain yield in sorghum hybrids under water stress.
Sorghum grain yield can be significantly affected by climatic changes, especially drought and high temperature. The purpose of this study was to evaluate hybrids of grain sorghum grown under normal irrigation conditions or water stress in order to select those likely to be more tolerant of drought. Forty-nine hybrids were grown in a randomized block design experiment, with three replications. T...
متن کاملGrain yield and quality of winter wheat in different planting patterns under deficit irrigation regimes
Limited water resources restrict winter wheat grain yield and quality in the Huang-Huai-Hai Plain of North China, and establishing optimal planting patterns according to crop water requirements is the key factor for achieving rational water use. In this paper, 4 planting patterns were applied, namely, uniform row (30 cm; traditional pattern), wide (40 cm)-narrow (20 cm) row, furrow (double line...
متن کاملImpact of Cultivation Technology On Yield and Fodder Value of Winter Triticale Grain
In 2008-2010 grain yield and fodder value of winter triticale cv. Kitaro were assessed. The level of plant protection covered three technologies with various production intensity. Grain yield of winter triticale cultivated on the higher agro technical level was 7,56 t/ha and was respectively almost 36% higher than the yield obtained from standard technology. The intensity of plant protection ag...
